Royal Orchid Sheraton wins 3rd place in World Ice Art Championships

Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers is celebrating the 3rd place award for the 2014 BP World Ice Art Championships, one of the largest ice sculpting competitions and exhibitions in the world. This year, the event took place in the city of Fairbanks, Alaska. More than 70 teams from all over the world participated in the competition amongst which Mr. Manu Songsri – chief artist, proudly represented the Royal Orchid Sheraton. After six days of competition, Mr. Manu Songsri was awarded 3rd place in the “multi block classic” category at the 2014 BP World Ice Art Championships. Mr. Manu and his team of 2 ice sculpture artists are the first Thai team to participate in this competition and were the only Thai team represented at the event. The theme used is “Emotion”, representing by their sculptors of God and Monster which reflect how human has both good and bad sides.

Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers is very proud of Mr. Manu’s accomplishment and hopefully there is more to come.
