Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok Offers Special Wine-and-Dine by the River this June

· Summer Exclusive: Gourmet Burger
Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok’s gourmands may enjoy summer and cool off with refreshing gourmet burgers exclusively on offer to satisfy any type of craving available at NEXT2 Café, at the poolside and for in-room dining from 1 June to 31 August 2016.
Guests can have a great time with families and friends amidst the sunshine while enjoying a quality fresh burger based on their individual taste preferences. The special gourmet burger promotion comes complete with eight succulent varieties, including “A Bit Fishy” (Salted Cod Fish Burger, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Cucumber and Tartar Sauce on Squid Ink Bun), “Oink Oink” (Pulled Pork, Crunchy Parma Ham, Caramelised Shredded Apple with Seeded Mustard Aioli on a Rye Bun), and “Baa Baa Burger” (Australian Ground Lamb, Confit Garlic and Rosemary Burger, Creamy Potato, Aged Parmesan Cheese and Marinated Pickles on a Rosemary and Sea Salt Bun). The classic burger of Australian Angus Beef on a Sesame Seed Bun is also available.
Guests can indulge in a gourmet burger for Bt540++ or opt for a mouthful of deliciousness by matching a giant burger with a choice of local beer or a glass of red wine (Fleur de Galetis Merlot Cabernet) or rosé wine (Fleur de Galetis Cabernet Sauvignon) for Bt690++ per set.
· Chicken Milanese and Wine
Chicken Milanese and wine are available on the menu of Volti ristorante & bar at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok every Friday from June to November 2016.
Diners may celebrate their last working day of the week and unwind with a glass of red or white house wine and savour tempting Chicken Milanese into which Chef Luca Casini incorporated seasonal fresh ingredients and flavours to perfectly match guests’ palate. Chef Luca’s classic Chicken Milanese is served with Rocket Salad, summer’s ripe Cherry Tomatoes and Lemon. Chicken Milanese and a glass of wine on Friday night, along with beautiful live music, is priced at Bt550++ per set.
· Aperitivo Italiano Package
Volti ristorante & bar, the acclaimed Italian restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, announces Aperitivo Italiano, an attractive package highlighting Italian cuisine and free-flowing beverages for a minimum of 10 guests.
Guests can enjoy a warm atmosphere of comfort by the Chao Phraya River while indulging in the Aperitivo Italiano package. Volti’s Chef Luca Casini has created a special menu for the package, which includes Homemade Whole Wheat Bread with Zucchini Frittata; Roasted Honey Ham, Fontina and Gherkins Sandwich; Soft Focaccia Bread with Pistachio Mortadella; Mini Pizza Margherita, Tomato, Mozzarella Cheese and Fresh Basil; Stuffed Giant Green Olives with Pork and Cheese; Golden Fry Risotto Croquette with Beef Bolognese; Grilled Bread topped with Beef Carpaccio, Fresh Rocket and Balsamic; and free-flowing soft drinks, beer and red and white wines by the bottle.
Guests may choose either a one-hour package for Bt988++ per person or a two-hour package for Bt1,688++ per person from 6 p.m.
· Fresh Catch from the Sea – Live Grouper
Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok’s Salathip Thai Restaurant serves premium-quality grouper, a fish that is considered to have the most delicious meat, prepared in the guests’ preferred cooking style until 30 June 2016. Diners may relish in the rich texture and decadence of grouper, which is renowned for its juicy and fresh taste.
The grouper may be prepared in five different options including stir fried with chilli and young peppercorn sauce, stir fried with garlic and black pepper sauce, hot and sour soup, red curry with coconut milk, and steamed with lime juice and chilli. The Live Fish Spectacular promotion is available for dinner, along with the great atmosphere of the Chao Phraya River, for 990++ baht per a whole grouper.
· Tempting White Asparagus
Spring is the best time for the best taste and texture of white asparagus and Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok presents a white asparagus promotion at Volti ristorante & bar. The promotion is available until 30 June 2016.
Volti’s Chef Luca Casini showcases his culinary skills in preparing white asparagus using his own recipes for dinner daily. Guests who have palate for white asparagus can delight in the true flavours of this treasure from the earth for 560++ baht to 1,060++ baht per dish. Delicious tempting dishes include Organic Garden Salad with White Asparagus Tip, Boiled Quail Egg and Truffle Vinaigrette; 63 Degree Poached Egg, White Asparagus and Truffle Sabayon; Risotto with White Asparagus, Parmesan Cheese and Smoked Caviar; and Baked Salmon with Grilled White Asparagus and Lemon Butter Sauce.

Bangkok-based harpist, Miss Wang Tong-Juan of Beijing who has been weaving her magic on the harp in Thailand for many years entertains guests during this pleasant moment.
Crafted with delicacy and passion by the hotel’s very own bakery team, the Golden Birdcage Afternoon Tea consists of premium savoury bites, such as Foie Gras Terrine and Caramelised Onion Brochette; Prawn and Schrenckii Caviar on bread; Crab Salad in Organic Cucumber; House-made Smoked Salmon on Mini Bagel, Cream Cheese and Salmon Caviar; Finely Sliced Parma Ham and Aged Cheddar Cheese Finger Sandwich; Traditional Scones with Clotted Cream, Strawberry Preserve and Orange Marmalade; Warm Apple and Cinnamon Turnover, Blueberry Cookie, Chocolate Coated Marshmallow Cookie; Mango Sticky Rice, Coconut Meringue, Micro Green; Green Tea Tiramisu; Raspberry Cheesecake; Chocolate and Expresso Tart and many more.
