Through out June 2014 Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok offers three special food and wine promotions for diners to enjoy at Angelini, Shang Palace and Salathip

A Mid-Summer Night at Angelini


Diners can experience the tantalising taste of authentic Italian cuisine with a     specially-created three-course set menu by Chef Omar Ugoletti at Angelini of    Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.  The summer special set menu is priced at 1,500 baht net per set for food only or 2,200 baht net per set with wine pairing and is available for dinner from 1-30 June 2014 (except Mondays).

Using quality seasonal ingredients, Chef Omar perfects the balance of traditional Italian cuisine with succulent dishes, such as Bucatini with Italian Pork Cheek, Tomatoes and Pecorino Cheese or Grilled Sea Bass served with Eggplants Caponata, Concasse of Tomato and Caper Sauce. Health conscious guests can also enjoy a vegetarian set.

Summer Creation by Chef Sham Yun Ming


Shang Palace at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok proudly presents Executive Chef Sham Yun Ming, whose Summer creation is sure to please even the most sophisticated palates, starting today until 20 June 2014 (except Tuesdays).

His authentic à la carte dishes using inspiring ingredients, such as Braised Whole Abalone Soup with Roasted Duck, Crab Meat and Winter Melon; Prawns with Seasonal Mango Salad; and Cold Sliced Abalone with Jelly Fish, will tantalise food connoisseurs’ taste buds and leave them craving for more.

Guests can indulge in Chef Sham’s summer specialties for lunch and dinner from 280++ – 980++ baht per dish.

Summer Pairing – Thai Cuisine and Wine


Chef Tussanee Putkaew of Salathip Thai restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok will spice up diners’ meal with a journey to explore colourful herbs and spices with Thai summer dishes paired with wine throughout June 2014.  The special summer creation is available for 1,800++ baht per set for food only or 2,200++ baht per set with wine pairing. (except Wednesdays).

The highlighted dishes include Stir-Fried Soft Shell Crab with Curry Powder and Crispy Tartlet of Minced Chicken and Shrimp. Diners can enjoy their dinner in Thai-style teak pavilions overlooking the Chao Phraya River and watch live traditional Thai dance performances from 7:45 to 9:15 p.m.
