In November, music lovers can experience the magic of Barbra Streisand and relive the timeless songs of Frank Sinatra in 12 unforgettable shows performed in the intimate surroundings of The Living Room. Delighting the audience with sparkling celebrations of two of the world’s most iconic stars of the stage and screen, “Simply Barbra” will be staged from November 15 -18 and 22-25 followed by “Simply Barbra & Frank” performing together from November 29 – December 2, 2012. Created and performed by acclaimed New York cabaret artist, Steven Brinberg. “Simply Barbra” is a hilarious and affectionate pastiche of a living legend, which has even received praise from Ms. Streisand herself.
Described by the Sydney Morning Herald as “Almost as luminous as Streisand”, Simply Barbra has won numerous awards and sold out tours all over the world. Time Out New York said of the show, “Absolutely brilliant! Affectionate and wickedly funny”.
Steven Brinberg has been performing as Barbra Streisand for more than a decade and has appeared across America in symphony concerts. He appeared on Broadway in a production of Funny Girl with Whoopi Goldberg, and was hired by Streisand’s management to perform at fashion designer Donna Karan’s birthday party.
At The Living Room, the many highlights of “Simply Barbra” will include renowned hits such as ‘Don’t Rain on My Parade’, ‘Evergreen’ from ‘A Star is Born’, ‘The Way He Makes Me Feel’ from ‘Yentl’, and ‘Memories’ from ‘The Way We Were’.
