SOUTH AFRICA’S NORTHERN CAPE FESTIVAL AT SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, BANGKOK
Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok in association with the Northern Cape Government of South Africa and the South African-Thai Chamber of Commerce invites guests to explore the paramount of Northern Cape, South Africa through its culinary heritage at the hotel’s NEXT2 Café. South Africa’s Northern Cape Festival 2015: “The Taste of Rainbow Cuisine” is available for buffet dinner and brunch from 17 to 22 March 2015.
Mr. Daniel Williams, Executive Chef from Butlers Restaurant in Kimberley, Northern Cape, South Africa, along with his talented culinary team members will delight diners with an array of Northern Cape’s traditional dishes on rotation from the restaurant’s various live cooking stations.
Highlighted dishes include Beef Wellington with Mushroom and Spinach, Baked Fish with Apricot and Cream Sauce, Pork Armadillo with Sweet Chili Sauce, Crispy Roast Pork Belly with Apple Cider Jus, Frikkadella in Tomato Chutney, Lamb Casserole with Dombolo, Sosaties (Lamb, Chicken, and Beef Kebabs), Malva Pudding with Custard, and Amarula Coffee Cake.
Diners can enjoy the South Africa’s Northern Cape Festival 2015: “The Taste of Rainbow Cuisine” and other sumptuous cuisines from around the world for dinner for 1,650 baht net person for food. On Sunday, 22 March 2015, diners and their family may have a great holiday with a “Braai” brunch for 1,850 baht net person for food.
On Friday, 20 March 2015, guests can enjoy a special “Braai” evening of South Africa’s Northern Cape cuisines for 1,650 baht net person for food.
To “braai” or barbeque, a popular grilling of meat is a South African tradition, usually do it once or twice a week or more. It is a chance for friends or family gathering to partake in a fun activity together.
