Since it open in April, I never had a chance to go to the new St. Regis Bangkok until recently. Located on Ratchadamri road opposite of the Royal Bangkok Sport Club. The BTS Ratchadamri station is right in front of this 5 star hotel. It is the first St. Regis in Thailand still in it soft opening period. It is both a residence and a hotel complex.

There are 2 restaurants at the moment. The Viu, an international restaurant that specialized in grill. The dinning space has very high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that look out to the large green grass area of the Royal Bangkok Sport Club and Bangkok skyline beyond. Deciding what to order here was a no brainer. Since this is an American chain it’s got to have good steaks. The waitress even insisted.
Australian Wagyu Prime Rib 11 oz . (980)
Baked potatoes side dish
Bread with Taro dip
36-Month Aged Pata Negra Ham Spanish Corn Focaccia (510)
The second restaurant was on the ground floor Jo Jo Italian restaurant. The dining space looks gorgeous. We had coffee there. Not only was the coffee good but the barista made a beautiful leaf with the foam milk.
The thing I regret missing that day was the afternoon tea. There are tea sets that cost 750++ for two which come with a variety of sandwiches, scones, pastries and sweets. If a regular tea set is not good enough try the St. Regis Royal Tea for two at 6,400++ which is served with Moët & Chandon Brut champagne, beluga caviar, scallops, fresh oysters and pan-fried foie gras.
