Bamboo chic is not only a Japanese + Chinese restaurant but it is also a bar and a club with live DJ spinning a variety of tunes. Being all this, it is spacious with high ceiling and many seating options from bar stools at the sushi bar to cushioned cubicles over that looks over to the opened kitchen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The glass elevator with a peaceful night sound effect of crickets that takes you 4 floors up from the lobby is a good start upon bringing us to this venue. Out of the elevator a dimly lit narrow glass bridge with green and turquoise lighting underneath leads to the sushi bar.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We were guided to a corner table with cushioned sofa. The waitress suggested to try the Sushi After Dark which is a promotion they have that provides unlimited drinks of cocktails, wines, and mocktails(cocktails without alcohol) and a combination of sushi rolls for a thousand baht. The sushi rolls were ok but the unlimited wines are just a steal. You are able to select the wine from the menu by the glass which are priced from 300-400 baht. We tried many wines that night from white to red. To name a few the Pinot Grigio from Castello Banfi Italy, the Semillon Chardonnay from Rosemount Estate Australia, the Shiraz from Wolf Blass Australia, and the Tempranillo from Marques De Riscal Spain. Good thing we were staying at the Hotel or it would be difficult to get back. We also tried the Sashimi from the a le carte menu which had Tuna, Salmon, Hamachi, Hotate and Hokkigai all import at good quality. The cost is very affordable at only 780 baht.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Surprisingly, there was not much people when we were there. This promotion has just started, I guess when more people know about this it will be crowded which is what it needs for a party atmosphere.
