From the 54st floor the semi-indoor and outdoor ambiance was very appealing sometime you can feel to breeze from outside, sometimes it’s the cold air from the AC. The view was not doubt spectacular. Uno Mas Saturday brunch offers a wide range of Spanish dishes both from the buffet bar and the ala carte menu.
We started with the live oyster bar and Spanish taps. The watermelon soaked vodka was very refreshing. There were many items from the menu.
Potatoes, soft and crisp, with spicy tomato sauce and aioli mayonnaise ‘Bravas’
Green asparagus in black tempura and Romesco sauce
Catalan spinach, raisins and pine nuts
Tiger prawns, garlic, paprika and Cayenne sizzling in olive oil ‘Gambas pil pil’; this was a very savory dish we had to order twice.
At this point a trolley filled with wine and juices came by our table; they were offering 3 types of sangria: white wine, red wine, and sparkling sangria.
Mussels, steamed with rosemary, thyme, lemon and white wine
Fried squid with aioli and lemon
Snow fish with pumpkin puree and sauteed mushrooms
Octopus with mashed potatoes and pimenton de la vera ‘ Pulpo a la Gallega’; octopus was tender and flavorful.
We heard a loud “kachinggggk” everyone quickly turn their heads to the origin of the sound, everyone was smiling. It appears that the chef had broken a dish intentionally. It is custom for every order of “Cochinillo”, pressed suckling pig; the chef will use the dish to slice the pork and throw the dish so that it breaks to show how tender the pork is.
Spanish meatballs of Wagyu beef and pluma pork with tomato stew
Joselito ham croquettes
Josper charcoal oven grilled Black Angus rib eye beef served with mash potatoes and padrones peppers
Paella Valenciana, with chicken and seafood
For dessert Churros is a must served with cinimon chocolate sauce
Catalan cream
Santiago almond cake
Frozen Glenlivet Whisky cake is a rare cake and was very good.
For 999++ baht this brunch is a great deal. If you add 450++ baht it includes free flow sangria, it’s one of the best deals in town. Not only the food, the ambiance and the view was just as good.
